About Us
Incorporated in 1973, the company established the Virani brand of gram flour in the UK. Additionally we sourced spices, herbs and pulses to supply alongside our gram flour into the ethnic retail sector. Virani has since become the largest miller of gram flour in Europe.
In 1993 the company took the strategic step to rationalise our retail range in order to concentrate on supplying the growing ready meal sector which was in its infancy. This strategy was executed successfully and Virani has become a key partner for the majority of ready meal manufacturers. Virani has grown significantly and is now entering a new phase of its development with significant investment in people, plant and processes.
Based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, and operating from a purpose built facility, we employ 45 dedicated and professional staff.
We work closely with major food groups as well as smaller manufacturers who consider us experts in our field. Our products are key ingredients within:
